You’ve done your best to adapt — observing what’s expected, following the “right” steps, and trying to fit into what seems to work for others. Maybe you’ve taken the path that felt safest or most accepted.

And yet… something still feels off. Like you’re living a version of yourself that doesn’t quite fit — not the one you truly want to be.

You’ve probably heard “set boundaries” or “listen to yourself” — but it’s not always that simple.

What is a boundary, really? And what happens if setting one creates tension, guilt, or conflict? If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, you’re not alone.

Maybe you grew up navigating different worlds — one shaped by family, culture, or tradition, and another shaped by school, work, or broader society.

At times, it may have felt like you had to choose between them. Finding a way to honor all parts of yourself — without losing your footing — can feel complex and deeply personal.

You might notice that parts of who you are are misunderstood, oversimplified, or misrepresented — whether by media, community, or even people close to you.

Showing up authentically can feel vulnerable, even risky at times — like you’re caught between being seen and being judged.

You may have learned to stay quiet about parts of yourself — your traditions, values, interests, or lived experiences — especially when they differ from what’s considered “normal” or expected.

But all of these pieces matter. Your cultural background, family history, identity, and lived experiences aren’t separate from your current stressors — they’re deeply connected to how you move through the world today.

Something in you is saying it’s time.

Time for things to feel a little lighter, a little more connected — more like you.

Not all at once, and not perfectly, but in a way that feels real and steady.

You’re not looking for a quick fix — you’re wanting something that actually lasts, something that feels true.

That small, quiet nudge you’re noticing? That’s where change starts.

I'm here to help

Hi, I’m Soma, a first-generation Asian American licensed therapist based in Reno, NV, proudly offering services throughout Nevada. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating burnout, major life transitions, perfectionism, depression, anxiety, and multicultural identity exploration.

My goal is to support you in finding relief, reconnecting with your body, and cultivating a sense of safety, clarity, and meaningful connection—both within yourself and in your relationships. Through this process of self-discovery, we’ll work to integrate and embrace all parts of who you are.

My approach to therapy is grounded in intergenerational family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and a social justice lens. This framework allows us to address the whole self — mind and body — in a compassionate and personalized way.
